DEXTER, Mo. -- Geraldine "Geri" Davis, 73, of Dexter died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Central Garden Care Center. She was born July 15, 1927, at Dexter, daughter of Sola L. and Cloa Hill Singleton. She and Claude T. "Dave" Davis were married Nov. 27, 1943. He died Nov. 15, 1998...

DEXTER, Mo. -- Geraldine "Geri" Davis, 73, of Dexter died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Central Garden Care Center.

She was born July 15, 1927, at Dexter, daughter of Sola L. and Cloa Hill Singleton. She and Claude T. "Dave" Davis were married Nov. 27, 1943. He died Nov. 15, 1998.

A lifelong resident of Dexter, she was a member of Second General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Jim Davis of Kennett, Mo.; a daughter, Claudia Ryan of Koshkonong, Mo.; a sister, Sylvia Mullen of Gideon, Mo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery near Dexter.
