MARY LOU SNELL

Mary Lou Snell, 74, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 21, 1927, at Egypt Mills, Mo., daughter of Martin L. and Mildred L. Heise Haupt. She and George C. Snell were married Feb. 5, 1947, at Jackson, Mo. He died July 20, 1978.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and had worked at International Shoe factory.

Survivors include four sons, William E. Snell, James A. Snell and George S. Snell, all of Cape Girardeau, and David L. Snell of Chaffee, Mo.; a daughter, Donna G. Futakami of North Glenn, Colo.; two brothers, Martin L. Haupt and Robert Haupt, both of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.
