DEXTER, Mo. -- Graveside service for Don Tanner of Dexter will be held at 1 p.m. today at Essex Cemetery in Essex, Mo. The Rev. Tim Russell will officiate.

Tanner, 65, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at his home.

He was born Sept. 27, 1935, at Holcomb, Mo., son of Loran Houston and Elva Marie Atteberry Tanner.

Tanner was formerly of Circle City, Gideon and Portageville in Missouri and had lived at Dexter the past 30 years. He was a retired farm laborer.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Tanner of Selmer, Tenn.; two sisters, Kay Davison and Mavis Britton of Dexter; and a brother, Bill Tanner of Sikeston, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
