MILDRED LOYD

PUXICO, Mo. -- Funeral for Mildred M. Loyd of Puxico will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo. The Rev. Wayne Burchett will officiate. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Loyd, 87, died Monday, May 21, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 18, 1913, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of John Herman and Myrtle Irene Morton George. She and Byron E. Loyd were married March 31, 1937, in Detroit, Mich. He died Oct. 27, 1988.

Loyd was a former teacher and librarian, and member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Jewell Wiseman of Advance.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
