MAUDINE DEVENING

OWENSVILLE, Mo. -- Maudine "Molly" Devening, 71, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at her home in Owensville.

She was born May 5, 1929, in Chatsworth, Ill., the daughter of Loye Martin and Gracie Cordelia Rea Jackson.

She is survived by four children: Mike Kistner of St. Louis, Ron Kistner of Cape Girardeau, Jon Devening of Jerseyville, Ill., and Jane Devening of Owensville; two stepchildren, Donna Devening of Las Vegas, Nev., and Cliff Devening of Chester, Ill.; three sisters, Mabel King of Dexter, Mo., Euva Williams and Nadine Engelman, both of Jackson, Mo.; a brother, Howard Jackson of Summersville, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and five brothers.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randall Cartwright officiating.

Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
