FRANCES FORREST

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Frances E. Forrest, 73, died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Knobel, Ark., daughter of Arthur and Cornelia Hastings Jett. She and Paul Forrest were married Aug. 5, 1947. He died March 12, 1987.

Forrest was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Forrest of Paris, Tenn., Jon Forrest of Sikeston; four daughters, Tanya Lindsey, Dena Merick and Shannan Morton, all of Sikeston, Kristi Ryan of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Jon Jett of Cherokee Village, Ark.; three sisters, Ruby Taylor of Bakersfield, Calif., Peggy Young and Mary Jett of Corning, Ark.; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a stepgrandchild; and a great-stepgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a brother, and a sister.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. A.J. Wollenburg officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
