ANNA, Ill. -- Loretta Miller, 67, of Murphysboro, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County. She was born May 25, 1934, at Pomona, Ill., daughter of Walter and Lavern Godwin Lyerla. She was married to James W. Miller. He preceded her in death...

ANNA, Ill. -- Loretta Miller, 67, of Murphysboro, Ill., formerly of Anna, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County.

She was born May 25, 1934, at Pomona, Ill., daughter of Walter and Lavern Godwin Lyerla. She was married to James W. Miller. He preceded her in death.

Miller had worked as a live-in housekeeper for several families in the Anna area.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Pendleton of Murphysboro; three sons, Steven Miller, Jerry Miller and Darrell Penrod, all of Carbondale, Ill.; three sisters, Hilda Boyd of Anna, Ill., Janetta Burks of Metamora, Ill., and Norma Robinett of Longmont, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 11 a.m. Sunday.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Allen will officiate, with burial in Alto Pass Cemetery.
