DEXTER, Mo. -- Lucy Edith Larock, 87, of Dexter died Friday, July 6, 2001, at her daughter's residence in Dexter. She was born Feb. 1, 1914, at Stoddard County, daughter of John Anderson and Nancy Florence Godwin Lawrence. She and Leonard Larock were married Nov. 17, 1945, at Piggott, Ark. He died Oct. 30, 1980...

DEXTER, Mo. -- Lucy Edith Larock, 87, of Dexter died Friday, July 6, 2001, at her daughter's residence in Dexter.

She was born Feb. 1, 1914, at Stoddard County, daughter of John Anderson and Nancy Florence Godwin Lawrence. She and Leonard Larock were married Nov. 17, 1945, at Piggott, Ark. He died Oct. 30, 1980.

Larock had lived in Essex, Mo., until moving to Dexter in 1963. She was a member of the General Baptist Church in Dexter and of the church quilters and Ladies Auxiliary Quilters.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Grubbs of Dexter; and a sister, Alma Woodruff of Dexter.

Friends may call at Watkins & Sons Funeral Services at Dexter from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate, with burial in Essex Cemetery.
