Hazel Elizabeth Wulfers, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 16, 1911, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of William A. and Laura Holloman Day. She and Charles "Pat" Wulfers were married Dec. 26, 1929, at Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 28, 1980.
Wulfers owned and operated Day Transfer Co. for 60 years. She retired from the family business in 1977. She was also a member of St. Mary Cathedral and a longtime Notre Dame Booster.
Survivors include a son, Tom Wulfers of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Barbara Beard and Bonnie Miller, both of Cape Girardeau; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Cathedral. The Rev. Richard Rolwing will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
