COBDEN, Ill. -- Iragene Tripp, 75, of Cobden died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 21, 1925, at Lick Creek, Ill., daughter of Ira and Florence Stokes Williams. She and Glenn E. Tripp were married Dec. 31, 1941, at Cape Girardeau.
Tripp was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church and was very active in the Deborah Class, the Young at Heart and was a nursing home Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Anna-Jo Garden Club, the Union County Home Extension and wrote the "Toolshed Corner" news for the Gazette-Democrat.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ira Dugan Tripp and Charles E. Tripp, both of Cobden, a sister, Mae Arbuckle of Anna, Ill.; four grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Anna Heights Baptist Church.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. The Revs. Scott Harner and Doug Bridgeman will officiate. Burial will be at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery near Lick Creek.
