ADVANCE, Mo. -- Freda Miller, 89, of Whitewater, Wis., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, in Whitewater. She was born Aug. 29, 1911, near Advance, daughter of James and Carrie Reutzel Lockhart. She and James F. Miller were married Sept. 12, 1934, at Jackson, Mo. He died March 18, 1995...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Freda Miller, 89, of Whitewater, Wis., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, in Whitewater.

She was born Aug. 29, 1911, near Advance, daughter of James and Carrie Reutzel Lockhart. She and James F. Miller were married Sept. 12, 1934, at Jackson, Mo. He died March 18, 1995.

She owned and operated a beauty shop and was active in church organizations.

Survivors include a daughter, Iligene Anderson of Elmhurst, Ill.; a brother, Paul James Lockhart of Wappapello, Mo.; a sister, Dorothy Fowler of Dexter, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Zych officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
