Dora C. Mason, 88, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jackson, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2001, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Sept. 11, 1912, at Glen Allen, Mo., daughter of Navy Lawrence and Nancy Caroline Sitze Clingingsmith. She and Russell L. Mason were married May 27, 1937, at Glen Allen. He died May 22, 2000.

Mason lived in Jackson from 1946 until moving to Cape Girardeau in 1998. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mo.

Survivors include a son, Don Mason, and a daughter, Jean Mason, both of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

There is no visitation.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Jackson. The Rev. Brian Anderson will officiate.
