MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Esther Agnas Perez, 81, of Desloge, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.

She was born July 19, 1920, in Wabeno, Wis., daughter of John Franklin and Alfilda Opsahl Stage. She married Juan Perez in St. Louis. He died in April 1998.

Perez was a beautician and had owned Walnut Grove Tavern in Desloge.

Survivors include a daughter, Orla Lee of Glen Allen, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Juanita Hubbard of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Mary Brandt of LaCroix, Wis., Grace Wendt of Larsen, Wis.; four brothers, Rodney Stage of Spooner, Wis., Alfred Stage of Appleton, Wis., Henry Stage of Suring, Wis., Edward Stage of Two Rivers, Wis.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Huggins officiating.
