BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Charles D. Choat, 73, of Bloomfield died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born Jan. 3, 1928, in Bloomfield, he was a son of Albert Edward and Essie Pullum Choat.
He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He attended Mount Pisgah General Baptist Church near Bloomfield.
On Aug. 16, 1947, he married Maxine Caldwell at Poplar Bluff, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Sharon Stanford of Dexter, Mo.; five sisters, Edna Scates of Poplar Bluff, Vivian Merideth of Bloomfield, Jean Mattingly of Puxico, Mo., Glenda Propst of House Springs, Mo., and Mary Ruth Brown of Dallas; one granddaughter and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel with the Revs. Bob Bradford and Robert Lafferty officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
