JACKSON, Mo. -- Funeral for Carol Brashears of O'Fallon, Mo., was held Monday at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel in St. Charles, Mo. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.

Brashears, 61, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Mo.

She was born Aug. 3, 1940, at Jackson, daughter of Leroy and Rhoda Carolyn Long James. She married Charles H. Brashears, who preceded her in death.

Brashears was a member of Church on the Rock.

Survivors include a son, Nick Brashears of O'Fallon; a brother, Dave James of Foristell, Mo.; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
