SIKESTON, Mo. -- Russell Montjoy, 45, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, in New Madrid County.
He was born April 3, 1956, in Sikeston, son of L.V. and Katherine Montjoy Sr.
Montjoy was a graduate of Sikeston High School, and received certificates in building trade and upholstery.
Survivors include his children, April Montjoy of Sikeston, Russell Montjoy of Colorado Springs, Colo., Candace Thomas of South Carolina, Derrick Blissett of Columbia, Mo., Charlene Townsend of Charleston, Mo., Chris Hamilton of Chicago; and his father of Sikeston.
Also surviving are four brothers, Louis Montjoy Jr., Marshall and Kim Montjoy, all of Sikeston, Frankie Montjoy of Huntsville, Texas; seven sisters, Peggy Blissett of Sikeston, Shirley Sanders and Karen Montjoy of St. Louis, Delois Brooks of Jackson, Tenn., Cathy Holly of Kent, Wash., Frances Thompson of Huntsville, Texas, Monica Jackson of Huntsville, Ala.; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home. Dr. John Sargent will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
