MARY PALMISANO

PULASKI, Ill. -- Mary J. Palmisano, 73, of Champaign died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Champaign.

She was born May 5, 1927, in Ullin, daughter of William and Marie Schaeffer Stokes. She and Michael Palmisano were married in 1951.

Palmisano was formerly of Pulaski. She was employed at Holy Cross School and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Champaign.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Nancy Testory of Champaign; a son, Terry Palmisano of Pulaski; a sister, Audrey Brown of Pulaski; three brothers, Bill Stokes of Cairo, Henry Stokes of St. Joseph, Wendell Stokes of Pulaski; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Owens Funeral Home in Champaign from 2-4 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Church, with Msgr. Albert Hallin officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Champaign.
