IRENE GUMM

Irene Johanna Gumm, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at the Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born Nov. 10, 1909, at St. Louis, daughter of Alfred Paul and Charlotte Mildred Seele Wachtler. She and Frank L. Gumm were married Dec. 14, 1935, at Wauwatosa, Wisc. He died Jan. 15, 2000.

Gumm was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau. She had been a member of the Federated Women's Club in Carbondale, Ill., where she also was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Donna Taylor of Green Valley, Ariz..; two grandchildren, Eric James Taylor and Gretchen Lynn Taylor both of Anchorage, Alaska; and a great-grandchild, Tatiana Taylor.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and a sister.

A memorial service will be arranged at a later date by Ford and Sons Funeral Home.
