RITA WILLIAMS

COBDEN, Ill. -- Rita Virginia Williams, 86, of Cobden died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Jonesboro Health Care.

She was born May 21, 1914, in Anna, Ill., daughter of John W. and Emma Josephine Treece Baggott. She and Raymond E. Williams were married April 21, 1937, in Union County, Ill. He died Dec. 4, 1996.

Williams was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Janis Corrington of Cobden; a son, Jerold Williams of Harrisburg, Ill.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 6-8 p.m. today, and Sunday until service time.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
