JAMES RUTHERFORD

CATRON, Mo. -- James Milton Rutherford, 67, of Catron died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 25, 1933, in Tuscumbia, Ala., son of John Herbert and Magnolia Smith Rutherford. He and Shirley Greene were married Aug. 12, 1966, in Cleveland, Miss. She died Jan. 25, 1996.

Rutherford was a farmer, and member of Drew Church of Christ in Drew, Miss. He was formerly of Ruleville, Miss.

Survivors include a son, Jamey Rutherford of Fort Hood, Texas; his mother of Malden, Mo.; a sister, Betty Stockton of Catron; two brothers, Jess Rutherford of Oak Ridge, Mo., Aubrey Rutherford of Millersville, Mo.; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie, Mo., after noon Sunday.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. O.H. Brooks will officiate. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville.
