VERA DARLING

DEXTER, Mo. -- Vera Lee Darling, 73, of Dexter died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 7, 1927, at Dexter, daughter of John A. and Myrtie Bell Summers Cornelison. She and Floyd Darling were married. He died June 7, 1983.

Darling worked and lived in St. Louis but had been a resident of Dexter and was a member of the First Church of God in Dexter.

Survivors include a son, Irvin Darling of Lebanon, Mo.; a sister, Opal Edwards of Dexter; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Mo., from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Patterson will officiate, with burial in the Dexter Cemetery.
