DELTA -- Fangie Edward Jones Jr., 73, of Chandler, Ariz., died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz.
He was born Feb. 26, 1926, son of Fangie E. and Nellie Ann Jones of Delta. He and Bonnie V. Halbert of Chaffee were married Nov. 10, 1946.
Jones was retired from Reliable Life Insurance Co. He was a member of Chandler Christian Church. He had been a Sunday School teacher, deacon and elder.
He was a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Fangie Jones of Germantown, Md.; a daughter, Judy Copeland of Phoenix; a brother, J.W. Jones of Delta; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Casas Del Campo Club House in Chandler.
