ORAN -- Joe F. Harrison, 61, of Oran died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Perryoaks Manor in Perryville.
He was born Sept. 8, 1938, in Belmont, Miss., son of Wallace and Ressie Thrasher Harrison. He and Frances Mae Cook were married April 23, 1966. She died Dec. 21, 1986.
Harrison retired as service station manager at Gas Hut in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Jerrie Milam of Oran; two stepdaughters, Karen Pullen of Sikeston, Robin Parker of Oran; three brothers, Edward and "Mutt" Harrison of Red Bay, Ala., Robert Harrison of Dorsey, Miss.; five sisters, Lorene Ginn of Amory, Miss., Pauline McClaine of Benton, Joyce Putnam of Sullivan, Mary Eskew of Patton, Ann Pobst of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and four stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Aaron McGranahan officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery.
