ADVANCE -- Willene Joy Hammack, 85, of Advance died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Bell City, daughter of Ora and Topsy Hisaw Overbey. She and Dan Hammack were married in December 1938 at Brownwood. He died in October 1981...

ADVANCE -- Willene Joy Hammack, 85, of Advance died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Bell City, daughter of Ora and Topsy Hisaw Overbey. She and Dan Hammack were married in December 1938 at Brownwood. He died in October 1981.

Hammack was a member of Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include a son, Daniel Hammack of Advance; a daughter, Patty England of Arbor; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

There is no visitation or service.

Morgan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
