MATTHEWS -- Lola Beatrice Garner, 90, of Matthews died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born April 4, 1909, in Terre Haute, Ind., daughter of William F. and Eva May Modesett Lewis. She and Robert L. Garner were married April 14, 1950, in Boise, Idaho. He died June 17, 1992.
Garner was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Delta Area Blind.
Survivors include a son, Alfred Leavitt of Springville, Tenn.; three brothers, George Lewis of Chillicothe, Leonard Lewis of Cedar Lake, Ind., Altha Lewis of Brazil, Ind.; a sister, Eathel Scott of Poplar Bluff; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Matt Raymond officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery at Poplar Bluff.
