JACKSON -- Randy McGarity, 42, of Jackson died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. JACKSON -- Randy McGarity, 42, of Jackson died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 7, 1957, in Sikeston, son of Barbara Sherrill McGarity and the late Edward McGarity. He had lived in Essex most of his life until moving to Jackson in 1996. He had worked as a truck driver for C and K Fertilizer in Essex.

Survivors include his mother; two brothers, Dennis McGarity of Sikeston and Ralph McGarity of Paducah, Ky.; and two sisters, Sharon Gill of Cape Girardeau and Lisa Wethington of Slidell, La.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Harold Kuehle officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
