ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Cyril "Sandy" Copeland of Anna will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. John Cripps will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.

Copeland, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 2, 1913, at McClure, son of Charles and Mary Simpkins Copeland. He and Helen Edwards Butterfield were married Oct. 20, 1997.

Copeland was retired from Trojan Powder Co. at Wolf Lake. He was a member of Jonesboro Masonic Lodge 111 AF&AM.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Livesay of Ware; three stepsons, Billy Butterfield of Topeka, Kan., Robert Butterfield of Georgetown, Texas, Barry Butterfield of Dongola; two sisters, Ruby Goodman of Cape Girardeau, Ellen Strange of Carterville; a brother, Henry Copeland of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
