DEWEY DENNIS

PATTON -- Dewey H. Dennis, 76, of Slater died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Boone County Medical Center in Columbia.

He was born March 8, 1923, at Patton, son of Edward and Cora Bollinger Dennis. He and Dessie Wilkinson were married May 14, 1946, at Fredericktown.

Dennis was a member of VFW Post 1773 in Carrollton.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Dennis of St. Clair, Bobby Dennis of Torrington, Wyo., Donnie Dennis of Slater; two daughters, Mary Ann Robinson of St. Louis, Margaret Denton of Jackson; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Rister officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 5900.
