CAIRO, Ill. -- Lena G. Henderson, 92, of Cairo died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Daystar Care Center.
She was born Dec. 19, 1907, in Dongola, daughter of William and Flora Clifford Woodard. She married Otto Henderson, who died in 1954.
Henderson was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Parthenia Rebekah Lodge 229, Queen Hester M Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Bill Schmitt of Cairo; a daughter, Jewell "Bug" Tolar of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, the Rev. Ted Woodard of Sarasota, Fla.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a granddaughter.
Visitation and funeral will be private at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. The Rev. Richard Keplinger will officiate. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery at Dongola.
