SIDNEY HILL

JACKSON -- Sidney Hill, 57, of Jackson died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at his home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1942, in Varney, W.Va., son of Oren Charles and Rebecca Musick Hill. He and Supaporn Yamklin were married Sept. 4, 1985, in St. Louis.

Hill grew up in East Tennessee and attended East Tennessee State University.

He worked in management at Holiday Inns in Knoxville, Gatlinburg and Memphis, Tenn.; Birmingham, Ala.; and Mt. Vernon, Ill. He had worked with Mid-America Hotels in Cape Girardeau 18 years and was general manager of the hotel division.

Hill had lived in Jackson since 1994. He was a member of Hotel Association and a board member of Forest Park Community College in St. Louis. He was a member of Grace Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Hill of Oklahoma, Sidney Hill Jr. of Santa Clara, Calif.; four daughters, Angela Hill of St. Louis, Ricki Hill of Chicago, Nicki and Katie Hill of Jackson; two brothers, Charles Hill of Garland, Texas, Larry Hill of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Phyllis Adkins of Snellville, Ga., Gaye Smith of Nashville, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. Fred Burgard will officiate.
