SIKESTON -- Effie E. Bohannon, 96, formerly of Morehouse, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born May 2, 1903 in Atlas, Ark., daughter of Robert Clayborn and Belle Zora Watts Savage.

She and Euggie I. Bohannon were married Aug. 26, 1919. He died Dec. 31, 1991.

She was a member of First Baptist Church at Morehouse.

Survivors include four sons, Alton Bohannon of Morehouse, Gene Bohannon of Sikeston, Leonard Bohannon of Fulton, John Bohannon of Pana, Ill.; a sister, Lucy Thomason of Frostproof, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Dolan Rogers and Kelley Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
