ADVANCE -- Aubert W. Atkins, 94, of Advance died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born Oct. 1, 1905 in Gibson County, Tenn., son of John and Mattie Veasy Atkins.
He was a retired barber and a member of the United Methodist Church of Advance.
He and Lillian Reynolds were married Dec. 30, 1956, at Dexter. She died May 25, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Richard Atkins, of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Wilda Minton of Rutherford, Tenn., and Louise Anderson of Dexter; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two half-sisters.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Tom Zych officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.
