DAISY STOCKMAN

JACKSON -- Funeral for Daisy Ruth Stockman of Jackson will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Raymond Epps will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. today.

Stockman, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 25, 1905, in Jackson, daughter of Charles and Mary Louise Steimel Vinyard. She and Simon Stockman were married March 1, 1952. He died May 1, 1957.

Stockman was a member of Shawnee Hills Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Paul Gilbert of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Barbara Stone of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Sam Vinyard of Jackson; two sisters, Elizabeth Looney of Jackson, Dorothy Dunn of Uniontown, Pa.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
