LUTHER ROSS

SIKESTON -- Luther Thomas Ross, 96, formerly of Sikeston, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Carthage Health and Rehab Center in Carthage.

He was born Sept. 20, 1903, at Bernie, son of William M. and Jane Odom Ross. He and Nellie P. Sanders were married Oct. 25, 1925, at Parma. She died Aug. 4, 1994.

Ross had worked at Pittman Dry Cleaners in Sikeston. He and his wife were foster parents more than 40 years. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include a sister, Ida Kerr of Sikeston.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with the Rev. Billie Butler officiating.
