JACOB STATLER

Funeral for Jacob Glenn Statler of Cape Girardeau will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau. The Revs. Gary Brothers and Charles Lance will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.

Statler, 77, died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born April 14, 1922, at Sedgewickville, son of Joseph D. and Carrie James Statler. He and Freeda Tidwell were married June 28, 1952. She died March 4, 1996.

Statler retired from Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Gailene Statler of Cape Girardeau; a brother, John Statler of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Juanita Summers of Jackson.
