CASEYVILLE, Ill. -- Maurice Glen Rendleman Jr., 78, of Caseyville died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at the Caseyville Nursing and Rehab Center. CASEYVILLE, Ill. -- Maurice Glen Rendleman Jr., 78, of Caseyville died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at the Caseyville Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born Jan. 9, 1922, at Ullin, son of Maurice G. and Lillian Lang Rendleman Sr. He and Viola F. Lynn were married Jan. 14, 1945, at Ft. Leavenworth, Kan.

Rendleman was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church at Caseyville. He retired after more than 30 years service as a car inspector for the Con-Rail Railroad. He was also a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife of Caseyville; a son, Michael Rendleman of Caseyville; a sister, Mary Ellen Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery at Cobden, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home at Anna is in charge of arrangements.
