CHARLESTON -- Pearlean Bostic, 91, of Charleston died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Jonestown, Miss., daughter of Daniel and Ella Cain King. She and the Rev. CHARLESTON -- Pearlean Bostic, 91, of Charleston died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at her home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1908, in Jonestown, Miss., daughter of Daniel and Ella Cain King. She and the Rev. L.B. Bostic were married in 1926. He died in 1984.

Bostic was a member of Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church and had served on the Mother Board.

Survivors include three daughters, Agnes Cooper and Marjorie Clark of Charleston, Bernice Carthell of St. Louis; a son, Eddie Bostic of St. Louis; a sister, Sally Madden of Steele; a brother, Perry King of Chicago; 24 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four daughters, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Church, with the Rev. R.L. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time.

Sparks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
