BLOOMFIELD -- Deloit Dean Cooper, 66, of Bloomfield died Friday, May 5, 2000, at his home. He was born Sept. 6, 1933, at Swinton, son of Vader Elvis and Anna Kathleen Shelden Cooper. BLOOMFIELD -- Deloit Dean Cooper, 66, of Bloomfield died Friday, May 5, 2000, at his home.

He was born Sept. 6, 1933, at Swinton, son of Vader Elvis and Anna Kathleen Shelden Cooper. He and Betty Joe Robey were married April 20, 1957.

Cooper was a 1952 graduate of Advance High School. He served in the U.S. Army.

He was Stoddard County collector and treasurer from 1964-72, was retired from Bloomfield Post Office and was currently serving as Stoddard County public administrator.

Cooper was a member and past master of Bloomfield Lodge 153 AF&AM, member and past worthy patron of Bloomfield Order of Eastern Star Chapter 385, and Scottish Rite, Valley of St. Louis.

He was a past member of Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Elks Lodge, lifelong member of AmVets Club and charter member of Crowley Ridge Country Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Samuel Cooper of Laona, Wis.; two daughters, Cindy Drew and Amanda McWilson of Jackson; his mother of Bloomfield; a sister, Norma Jean King of Dexter; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Masonic rites will be at 7:30 by Bloomfield Lodge 153.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
