ROBERT YOUNG WILLIAMS

PERRYVILLE -- Robert Young Williams, 72, of Perryville died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

He was born June 10, 1927, at St. Louis, son of Carl F. and Ruth McCauley Williams. He and Doris M. Door were married March 22, 1963.

He was the retired owner of a security business. He was the Past Exalted Rule of Perryville Elks Lodge 2701 and a leader of Boy Scout Troop 821 in Affton, Mo. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was vice commander of Commonwealth Yacht Club and a member of the Grand Lake Yacht Club Board of Directors.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scot Williams and Roy Williams of St. Louis; a daughter, Carol O'Shields of St. Louis; a sister, Jane Kurt of St. Louis; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. June 10 at Perryville Elks Lodge 2701.
