PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eugene J. Zahner Sr., 61, of Perryville died Saturday, June 11, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1938 in Perry County, son of Wallace S. and Agnes Bernice Mowry Zahner. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eugene J. Zahner Sr., 61, of Perryville died Saturday, June 11, 2000, at his home.

He was born Oct. 5, 1938 in Perry County, son of Wallace S. and Agnes Bernice Mowry Zahner.

Zahner was a night watchman at the Association of the Miraculous Medal office in Perryville. He was a musician who played guitar and fiddle.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene J. Zahner Jr. of Perryville and David C. Zahner of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Lisa Ann Rothweiler of Perryville; a sister, Della Taylor of Ste. Genevieve; and four brothers, Lilburn Zahner of Hephzibah, Ga., Ralph Zahner of Lithium, Harold Zahner and Garrie Zahner of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville and from 6:30-10 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Irvin Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
