BENTON, Mo. -- Charles Darris Worley, 51, of Benton died Friday, June 16, 2000, in the emergency room at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau following an apparent heart attack. He was born May 24, 1949, in Sikeston, son of George Virgil Worley and Virginia Masters Worley Gurnow. He and Patricia Bentley were married in August 1968. She died Aug. 15, 1971. He and Billie E. McClellan were married Nov. 19, 1972, and to Debbie Aters on April 17, 1993...

BENTON, Mo. -- Charles Darris Worley, 51, of Benton died Friday, June 16, 2000, in the emergency room at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau following an apparent heart attack.

He was born May 24, 1949, in Sikeston, son of George Virgil Worley and Virginia Masters Worley Gurnow. He and Patricia Bentley were married in August 1968. She died Aug. 15, 1971. He and Billie E. McClellan were married Nov. 19, 1972, and to Debbie Aters on April 17, 1993.

He owned and operated Worley Salvage Company in Benton.

He is survived by a son, David Worley of Benton; four daughters, Dawn Pierce, Bobbie Worley and Dan-yle Worley, all of Benton, and Montana La-Shl Aters of Sikeston; seven brothers, John Worley of Benton, Steve Worley of Sikeston; Kenneth Worley of Blodgett; and Tom Worley, Teddy Worley, Todd Worley and Tim Worley, all of St. Joseph; five sisters, Shirley Hopper of Morley, Patricia Reckers of Peculiar; Phyllis Johnson of Fruitland, and Lori Brewer and Karen Worley, both of St. Joseph; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Chaffee.
