SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wayne Toombs, 44, of Sikeston died Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Sikeston. He was born Dec. 19, 1955, in Sikeston, son of Claude Charles and Thelma Tharp Toombs. Toombs had lived in Sikeston 22 years. Survivors include a son, Michael Toombs of Sikeston; a daughter, Tracy Seabaugh of Advance; his mother of Sikeston; a brother, Charles Toombs of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Brenda Oglesby of Memphis, Tenn.; and a granddaughter...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wayne Toombs, 44, of Sikeston died Sunday, June 25, 2000, in Sikeston.

He was born Dec. 19, 1955, in Sikeston, son of Claude Charles and Thelma Tharp Toombs.

Toombs had lived in Sikeston 22 years.

Survivors include a son, Michael Toombs of Sikeston; a daughter, Tracy Seabaugh of Advance; his mother of Sikeston; a brother, Charles Toombs of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Brenda Oglesby of Memphis, Tenn.; and a granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kelly Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Essex Cemetery at Essex.
