VERA NELL HUFF

BENTON, Mo. -- Vera Nell Huff, 71, of Benton died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Bessville, daughter of Virgil and Vallie Robins Stone. She and Dale Huff were married Dec. 8, 1948, in Marble Hill.

Huff worked for the Baptist Association and was a member of Unity Baptist Church near Benton.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Dale Huff; three sons, Gregory Huff of Bloomfield, Rick Huff of Benton and Stass Huff of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jeanne Essner of New Hamburg; a brother, Glen Stone of Long Beach, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton and from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Jack Bishop and the Rev. Dean Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
