EVERETT LAWRENCE

AQUILLA, Mo. -- Everett Leslie Lawrence, 97, of Aquilla died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born June 20, 1903, at Bloomfield, Mo., son of Henry and Lizzie Boathammer Lawrence. He and Hazel Jewell Stafford were married Nov. 18, 1926.

Lawrence worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., several years. He returned to Bloomfield and operated a grocery store in Aquilla many years. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah General Baptist Church in Aquilla.

Survivors include his wife, and a sister, Mildred Mayo of Blytheville, Ark.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Lafferty officiating. Burial will be in North Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield.
