SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Callye Elizabeth Wright, 93, of Scott City died Friday, July 14, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 11, 1907, in Obion County, Tenn., daughter of William and Elizabeth Harmon Hamil. She worked at Ely-Walker and Ralph Edwards for 30 years and then worked at the Beanery for Camp and Wheeler Railroad Food Service in Scott City for 15 years before retiring in 1984...

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Callye Elizabeth Wright, 93, of Scott City died Friday, July 14, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 11, 1907, in Obion County, Tenn., daughter of William and Elizabeth Harmon Hamil. She worked at Ely-Walker and Ralph Edwards for 30 years and then worked at the Beanery for Camp and Wheeler Railroad Food Service in Scott City for 15 years before retiring in 1984.

She was a member of Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City.

Survivors include one son, J.T. Wright of Mountain Home, Ark.; one daughter, Floy Hamby of O'Fallon, Mo.; one sister, Flo Ella Bagwell of Scott City; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson and two brothers.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
