TAOS, Mo. -- Sabena Helen Forck, 93, of Taos died Oct. 5, 2000, at the Westphalia Retirement Center. She was born Nov. 5, 1906, in Cole County, daughter of Henry and Mary Talken Kerperin. She and Cletus B. Forck were married Nov. 26, 1931, in Taos. He died Oct. 15, 1967...

TAOS, Mo. -- Sabena Helen Forck, 93, of Taos died Oct. 5, 2000, at the Westphalia Retirement Center.

She was born Nov. 5, 1906, in Cole County, daughter of Henry and Mary Talken Kerperin. She and Cletus B. Forck were married Nov. 26, 1931, in Taos. He died Oct. 15, 1967.

Forck attended Taos schools. She was a homemaker and a dairy farmer, co-owning High Hill Dairy Farm.

She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a past member of the Cole County Extension Club and the St. Ann's Sodality. She was active in starting the Older Adult Transportation Service in the Taos area.

Survivors include three sons, Franklin H. "Jack" Forck of Jefferson City, Mo., William L. "Bill" Forck of Benton, Mo., and Mike "Pee Wee" Forck of Taos; three daughters, Mary Lee Bax of Wardsville, Mo., Betty Sue Klebba of Salt Lake City and Darlene "Dada" Reed of Jefferson City; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at House-Millard Funeral Directors Jefferson City Chapel, where a prayer service will take place at 6:15 p.m.

Friends also may call from noon until 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos.

Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. David Maher officiating. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
