KARNAK, Ill. - Joseph Bernatowiz, 81, of Karnak died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
He was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Grand Rapids, Mich., son of Joseph and Blanche Oliver Bernatowiz.
He was formerly of Grand Rapids and had retired as a construction worker.

Survivors include his wife, Irene of Karnak; a daughter, Patricia Sigars of California; a son, David Bernatowiz; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
There will be no visitation or service at the request of the family. The body is being donated to science.
Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
