PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Gary Cletus James, 55, of Perryville died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at his home.

He was born Dec. 29, 1944, in Bell City, Mo., son of Cletus Henry and Effie Mae Long James.

Mr. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the AARP.

Survivors include his mother; one daughter, Tina Marie Cassoutt of Perryville; two sons, David James of Perryville and Brian James of Patton, Mo.; one sister, Lavanda Menz of Perkins, Mo.; four brothers, Larry James of Bloomsdale, Mo., Joe James and Delbert James, both of Chaffee, Mo., and Terry James of Delta, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville or from 6:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pastor John Chamness will officiate, with burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
