ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Velma Hargrave of Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Sullins will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Hargrave, 88, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1999, at Union County Hospital.

She was born July 2, 1910, in Wylie, Texas, daughter of James H. and Artie Johnson. She and Edward "Jack" Hargrave were married Dec. 29, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Hargrave was a member of Anna United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; several nieces and nephews, including Jim Johnson of Marietta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
