MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Gregory M. Patton, 45, of Miller City died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born Sept. 19, 1953, in Cairo, son of Malcolm and Patricia Hurst Patton. Patton owned Patton Farms and Patton Hunting Club until retiring recently. MILLER CITY, Ill. -- Gregory M. Patton, 45, of Miller City died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Sept. 19, 1953, in Cairo, son of Malcolm and Patricia Hurst Patton.

Patton owned Patton Farms and Patton Hunting Club until retiring recently. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Alexander-Pulaski County Farm Bureau, and Ducks Unlimited.

Survivors include three sons, Russell Patton of Miller City, Christopher Patton of Grand Rapids, Mich., Matthew Patton of Scott City; his mother of Miller City; and a brother, Dr. Jeffrey Patton of Cape Girardeau, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 4-7 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
